When you join up for the Walgreens Balance Rewards loyalty program, you will earn various points redeemable towards future purchases. It appears as though you receive 1,000 points upon every dollar you receive.
As for the birthday perk…it’s distributed randomly! 🙁 So not every year will one receive this offer. I have been a Walgreens Balance Rewards member without receiving this birthday offer. A few days or weeks before your birthday month if you are one of the lucky ones, you’ll receive an invitation to receive 10 times the amount of points per purchase for your entire birthday month.
Since this is a random birthday offer, I’d suggest signing-up for the Walgreens Balance Rewards loyalty program today IF you are a customer there as their rewards program itself will eventually net you a nice haul towards future purchases. If you are randomly invited to receive the birthday monthly spend offer, consider it a bonus.
